The Coonleys gave Wright creative freedom, resulting in a unique design that included not only the house but also a Playhouse and other decorative elements. The Coonley Playhouse, built in 1912, was designed as a space for educational activities for children. The Playhouse sported vibrant stained glass windows, which feature abstract patterns inspired by balloons and confetti. About Frank Lloyd Wright Frank Lloyd Wright was a pioneering American architect known for his innovative and organic approach to design. He believed that architecture should harmonize with its environment, a philosophy he called "organic architecture." ® /™ /© Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
