This set of a magnet and magnetic bookmark are inspired by Muse with a Violin Screen. With foliate motifs inspired by Viennese design, an elegant central figure likely based on celebrated jazz singer Josephine Baker, and strong geometric borders, this monumental wrought, iron and brass screen from the 1930s represents not only the sophisticated tasted of Hungarian-born designed Paul Feher, but also the technical prowess of its producer, Rose Iron Works in Cleveland. The screen is a tour de force of the melding of accessible modernist design elements with the technique of master craftsmen.
