The Kiss by Gustav Klimt was painted in 1907-1908. Most everyone says it is his best painting by far. It was bought and paid for even before it was finished. It is still in the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, Austria. It is a blend of Gold paint and Gold Leaf on the canvas. The Man and Woman are surrounded by Golden Cloaks, Rings of Flowers on their heads and below them are a bed of flowers.
