This poster is a reproduction of a painting by German surrealist Max Ernst. A parody of the famous Manet painting of the same name, Ernst replaces the nude woman with a fish and figures. He writes the title on a black background suggesting the traditional chalk menu in a French Restaurant. The word "herbre" contains an extra letter to produce a comic rolling effect.
